I noted this angel because the Art Deco style so matches the date of the woman’s death!
I haven’t posted lately, but I was back in Hollywood today.
One of my primary purposes originally was to provide a map of how to get to each angel. Unfortunately, the way I chose to do the mapping originally doesn’t work well anymore, so I need to re-evaluate.
For the upcoming posts, I’m just gonna post a Google maps link until I figure out how I can collect all of them onto 1 map again.
This one is up on the hill where the Monroe mausoleum is located — overlooking the rapids.
Lillie is the daughter’s name.
It’s hard to read the inscription, but it appears to be an 8 month old infant of the Hobson family. And that make sense because it’s just next to the other Hobson angel.
(The map links no longer open directly to the point on the Google map — is the map link at the top of the page and look for the A0030 marker.)
So….the list expands…first it was stand-alone angels…then including Virgins…and cherubs…and women figures…now I guess I’ve expanded the list to angels engraved on headstones? I think that way may lie insanity!
Our little George caught my eye as I was walking past!
